چکیده
Ocular cysticercosis is a preventable cause of blindness. Medical therapy has been recommended for the retro-orbital and extraocular muscle form. Surgical management largely done in cases with conjunctival or lid affliction. Though, medical simple; however, diagnosis challenging. Ocular myocysticercosis.
The recent report on ocular myocysticercosis is very interesting (Agrawal et al, 2013). The authors have noted that ocular myocysticercosis can be diagnosed by MRI and treated medically with steroids and albendazole. In fact, ocular myocysticercosis is sporadically reported worldwide. As previously published in Nepal J Ophthalmol (Wiwanitkit , 2013; Labh & Sharma, 2013), ptosis can be the impor...

متن کاملAnterior Segment Complications in Ocular Contusion
Ocular traumas are the leading cause of preventable vision loss in children and adults. The incidence of eye injuries varies between countries. In a previous study that was made by McGwin et al. in 2005, it was found that the number of ocular injuries in United States annually is approximately 2 million, with 40 thousand resulting in permanent vision loss [1]. Many studies have investigated ope...
